LOLA Pearce’s exit storyline has begun and her brain tumour diagnosis has left many in tears.
But Ben Mitchell and Callum Highway declared their love for one another last night – and EastEnders fans are fuming.

The mechanic played by Max Bowden got a wake-up call after speaking to Jay Brown about Lola’s condition.
After months of staying away from his estranged husband Callum (portrayed by Tony Clay), Ben rushed over to his home and shouted his love for him at the top of his lungs outside of his window.
Callum eventually joined him outside and the pair shared a passionate kiss, marking another Ballum reunion.
However, BBC One viewers weren’t thrilled about the sweet moment and swarmed over to social media.
The reconciliation was posted on EastEnders’ official Twitter account as a “silver lining” to Lola’s harrowing ordeal, which was deemed “insensitive.”
Fans of the long-running drama pointed out that the true silver lining would be Lola recovering from her brain tumour.
“I don’t really care about Ballum. Not when poor Lola at 26 has the BIG C. You should focus on her ffs”, one of them Tweeted.
“A silver lining would be the young mother who’s just been diagnosed with cancer can have successful treatment and be there for her daughter for years to come”, another agreed.
A third viewer chimed in: “Erm, the “silver lining” from a 26 year old mother having brain cancer? A bit of sensitivity please.”
“Ah yes, Lola’s dying but at least these 2 are back together”, another sarcastically penned, adding a eyeroll emoji.
Another called out: “Whoever writes on EastEnders’ twitter really has to watch what they write as a headline on Twitter. It’s quite insensitive.”
Ben and Callum have gone through hell and back on multiple occasions but it wasn’t until the former was caught cheating with Lewis Butler that the police officer was ready to end it all.
Callum was heartbroken when he found out that Ben had slept with the former Prince Albert manager – unaware that he was actually raped.
Upon finding out Ben was assaulted, Callum tried to fix the marriage but was rejected.
Ben believed his other half deserved better than him in his life.
