EASTENDERS fans were left reeling tonight after spotting one of the current stars of Love Island on the soap.

Olivia Hawkins is seen looking over her shoulder at Sam Mitchell in a scene towards the end of tonight’s episode.

The star, who is currently at the heart of the drama in the Love Island villa, made a shock appearance.

Far from the bikini we’re used to seeing her wearing in the South African sun, she was clad in a black outfit alongside Sam actress Kim Medcalfe.

Fans who tuned into the episode of EastEnders early on iPlayer found themselves doing a double-take.

One wrote: “Not me watching tonights eastenders on iplayer and olivia from love island pops up as a extra.”

Another tweeted: “Wtf is Olivia doing in todays eastenders?”

A rep for Love Island confirmed to HOAR that it was indeed her on the soap in tonight’s episode.

Olivia spoke about the prospect of joining EastEnders when interviewed before the villa, but didn’t let on she’d been an extra on the show.

She said: “I actually did doubling for Whitney [Dean] for one of the New Year’s episodes.

“So yeah, that would be a very full circle moment to go on and be one of the characters, even if it was just a drop in.

“I feel like I’d maybe just be the girl from Sussex. I don’t do a great Cockney accent.”

Olivia, 27, is an actress and ring girl who has a storied career as an extra in high-profile productions.

She has appeared as a waitress in a James Bond movie with Daniel Craig and been a body double for Michelle Keegan.

Last night she found herself trapped in a love triangle on the second episode of Love Island.

She was coupled up with farmer Will Young but caught the attention of new boy Tom Clare.

The semi-pro footballer chose her to be in a couple with him after being given the power to choose – leaving Will single.

The continuing fallout from that move, as Will scrambles to get into a different couple, will continue tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
