EASTENDERS fans were left stunned by bombshell news about Ben Mitchell’s rapist Lewis Butler.
Tension was brimming before Ben (Max Bowden) hit the ring, but things got worse for the mechanic after he received some unexpected news from the police in Monday’s episode.

Ben is getting his life back together a year after being raped by Lewis Butler.
But he was left shaken to the core when a copper told him Lewis has been arrested for rape again.
Meanwhile, Ben tried to impress his famously miserable father Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) by becoming more involved in the local boxing scene.
However as he’s about to climb up on the ring, Ben faced another fight with his inner demons as he struggled with the guilt of not reporting his rapist Lewis sooner before he abused someone else.
Ben heads into the ring, ready to face Martin Fowler (James Bye) full of pent-up rage and ends up knocking Martin out and winning the fight.
But Ben’s mental well-being becomes a growing cause for concern when Callum worried about him bottling his feelings again.
Ben’s mother Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) soon gets involved and acknowledged that Ben was feeling guilty after finding out about someone else reporting Lewis for rape.
Ben told his mum that if he had reported him sooner “he wouldn’t have been able to hurt someone else would he?”
Kathy told her son not to blame himself.
A teary Ben confessed: “I just thought with him being nicked it will all go away.”
Kathy reassured Ben and said: “Look whatever Lewis has done it is not your fault. He is the only person responsible for his actions.
“He’s already taken so much from you Ben. Please darling, don’t let him take anymore.”
Taking to Twitter, viewers shared their shock as Ben’s past came back to haunt him.
