EastEnders fans slam soap for ‘rewriting history’ as Mick’s secret daughter is revealed but he’s only been with Linda

EASTENDERS fans have slammed the soap for “rewriting history” as it’s revealed to be Mick’s secret daughter – even though he claims he’s only ever slept with wife Linda. 

In last night’s episode of EastEnders, Mick was left shocked when Frankie dropped the bombshell that she thinks the hard man of Walford is her real dad.

After getting over the initial shock of the drama fans were left confused as the soap had originally claimed Mick had only ever slept with wife Linda – with the two being childhood sweethearts.

Viewers of the long-running show slammed the writers and suggested they were “rewriting history”.

One viewer scathingly wrote after the bombshell: “‘i think that you’re my dad’ are we meant to be shocked and forget that mick and linda have been together since they were kids ooooor”

“Omg this means Mick cheated on Linda as they’ve been together since they were kids,” added another.

A third questioned: “‘Your family is my family, I think your my Dad’ Mick’s Frankie’s Dad really? Surely Stuart would make a helluva lot more sense right? Especially given Mick’s basically been with Linda his whole life ain’t he?”

“I don’t see how it’s possible for Frankie to be Mick’s,” stated a fourth.

Actor Danny Dyer has always insisted Mick would never cheat on his beloved Linda so does that suggest there’s more than meets the eye with this revelation?

Viewers already know from his storyline with Stuart Highway that Mick had a troubled childhood, leading fans to speculate that if Mick didn’t cheat on Linda – could Frankie be the result of secret abuse?

One wrote: “okay hear me out, if it turns out mick was abused in care, surely it would’ve triggered him all those years ago when linda told him she was raped???”

“Oh dear, does this mean Mick was abused as a kid? I don’t even want to think about,” wrote another.

While a third reasoned: “How old is Frankie? How old is Mick? Let’s be logical about this, people!”
