EASTENDERS fans have been given a sneak peek of tonight’s special Mitchell family flashback episode which will transport viewers back to 1979.
New scenes show family matriarch Peggy under pressure with cracks beginning to show in her marriage to Eric.

Viewers have also been given a glimpse of a young Phil and Grant, played by Daniel Delaney and Teddy Jay.
In the special, to be aired on BBC One at 7.30pm, Phil gets a job at a garage, but Eric decides to take him and his brother out on a “job” — which sparks the wrath of Peggy.
And all while the police become increasingly interested in how the family make their money.
