It was a moment to savour for the boxing superfan, who wrote on Instagram: “Just interviewed the legend that is Larry Holmes, the only man to have ever stopped Mohammed Ali. How’s your Saturday going?”

Heavyweight Holmes, 72, is one of the greatest boxers of all time – racking up 48 consecutive professional wins before his first defeat, a shock loss to Michael Spinks in 1985.

Five years earlier, Holmes dominated a 38-year-old Ali after the sporting legend came out of retirement to try and become a four-time heavyweight champ.

After quitting Enders in 2021, Max Branning actor Jake achieved critical acclaim in 2:22 A Ghost Story alongside Lily Allen.
