The TV favourite posed topless from an exotic location as he read Barbara Windsor’s husband Scott Mitchell’s warm, colourful and heartfelt tribute book to his wife.

Jake wrote: “Been loving remembering beautiful Bar thanks to this wonderful book by my dear friend @scott.mitchell3.

“A love story that recounts their 27 years together (through all the ups and downs) I would recommend you read it very much. So proud of you Scott.”

Jake’s fans were stunned by his beardless look, with one writing: “Bring back the beard. End of.”

Another posted: “Max Branning looks older her.”

A third said: “Jake looks so different without the beard.”

It comes after the TV star looked totally different on his latest boxing podcast.

The actor, who hosts the Pound for Pound podcast with retired boxer Spencer Oliver, shaved off his bushy beard and wore some chunky specs to interview fighting great Larry Holmes.

It was a moment to savour for the boxing superfan, who wrote on Instagram: “Just interviewed the legend that is Larry Holmes, the only man to have ever stopped Mohammed Ali. How’s your Saturday going?”

After quitting Enders in 2021, Max Branning actor Jake achieved critical acclaim in 2:22 A Ghost Story alongside Lily Allen.

He scooped the Best Supporting Performer gong at the 2022 WhatsOnStage Awards.

Jake recently reunited with his soap co-stars Max Bowden and Matt Lapinksas for a charity football match.

The actors, as well as a range of other famous faces, played against Northampton Town for the Sellebrity Soccer match at Sixfields Stadium in Northampton.

The event was held to mark the football club’s 125th birthday.

All of the money raised went towards Sands United and the Northampton Town Community Trust.
