Actor Danny Dyer made the shocking decision to move on from the soap earlier in 2022.
The soap star will be bowing out of the long-running drama over the Christmas holiday in what can only be explosive scenes.
But while viewers are on the edge of their seats, waiting for Mick’s swan song, what can they expect for Linda following his exit?
Speaking to the Daily Star, Kellie Bright addressed her future on the BBC One program.
She has revealed that soap fans won’t have to bid her farewell just yet.
“I’m staying for the foreseeable future”, she said.
“I’m still having a great time there and I’ve always said I’ve loved it and I feel quite excited about what the future might bring for Linda.”
The 46-year-old added fans should expect ” a brand new chapter” for Linda – but she’s bound to feel disorientated.
“It’s going to be a brand new chapter for her and I don’t know what that looks like.”
“She has been with him since they were kids. It’s all she’s ever known and I think she’s going to find it hard.”
“She hasn’t been with him but he’s still been there. Even though they haven’t been together towards the end, he’s always been around”, Kellie added.
She also had a lot to say about Mick’s last ever appearance in EastEnders, claiming fans will be happy with his finale.
“It’s explosive. I don’t think anyone will be disappointed”, she said.
“Across the Christmas episodes, I think people will be happy with what EastEnders have done.”
“It incorporates Danny’s exit from the show and includes the Mick, Janine, Linda triangle.”
Recent snaps have shown Danny Dyer jumping off a cliff to his apparent on-screen death.
Both Kellie and Charlie Brooks aka Janine Butcher were also filming, hinting at a dramatic resolution to the love triangle.
Janine and Mick could have their own tense confrontation as the former is also due to leave the program in upcoming weeks.
Mick and Linda made their EastEnders debut in 2013, becoming instant fan-favourites.
Viewers witnessed their marriage crumble as Linda battled with her alcohol addiction.
