EASTENDERS fans are convinced Keanu Taylor will survive the 35th anniversary drowning after a backstage picture showed him in hospital.

Actress Lorraine Stanley – who plays Keanu’s mum Karen in the BBC soap – posted the picture of the pair together on a hospital set with Keanu in a gown.

But eagle-eyed fans noticed the scene didn’t air and now they think it is proof Keanu will survive the Thames tragedy and end up in hospital.

One wrote: “If Lorraine leaked a filming pic then he is probably still alive long enough to make it to hospital – the morgue is another set.”

A second said: “Theres also a hospital scene of Keano and Karen to air too? #EastEnders”

HOAR revealed last week how a major character will be killed off in a week of special episodes for the 35th anniversary.

Keanu will end up in the water at some point – but could he drown?

Queen Vic landlords Mick and Linda Carter throw the bash after winning the best pub in Walford competition and filming pictures have shown Linda throwing herself into it by downing champagne.

Those thought to be at risk include Mick, played by Danny Dyer, and veterans Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) and Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean).

A source on the BBC soap, which features the London river in its credits, told HOAR: “Where better place for a major death than on the Thames itself, which is so central to the show?

“Trouble has been brewing in Walford for a while, and they decided it was the perfect occasion to see off a big name.

“Its thought that as part of the dramatic scenes Sharon will give birth on the boat, but she is just one of many who could see themselves go overboard to an icy, watery death.”

However, other fans are also convinced it could be from the time Keanu was shot and faked his death, meaning another flashback episode could be on the cards.

“What’s this a scene from anyone?” asked one.

Another said: “Is this another flashback or a deleted scene?”
