Abusive husband Gray Atkins will be forced to beg his long-suffering wife, Chantelle, for forgiveness in EastEnders next week as she finds out about his brutal nightclub assault.
Chantelle whos played by Jessica Plummer in the BBC soap is left baffled when she runs into Denise Fox on the Square and Denise mentions a fight Gray was involved in.
Desperate to keep up appearances, upcoming scenes show how Chantelle pretends to know all about it.
Later, Chantelle confronts Gray about the fight he had, with Gray claiming he didnt tell her because of the baby.
With Chantelle unconvinced, Gray pleads for forgiveness and tries to do everything in his power to put it right.
Meanwhile, EastEnders fans are convinced that newcomer Jags Pansear will save Chantelle from Grays abuse.
The Pansear clan finally arrived in Walford last month while looking for their sister Ash.
The siblings split up, searching through the market, the park and The Queen Vic.
Vinny (Shiv Jalota) managed to track Ash down without telling the other two brothers, while Kheerat (Jaz Deol) and Jags (Amar Adatia) searched the rest of the square.
Jags caught the eye of Chantelle and it became immediately clear that the two knew each other.
Even Gray seems to sense something is wrong, staring at him while taking the rubbish out when he spots him later on in the episode.
Later on Kheerat asks his brother what’s wrong.
Jags says: “You know that girl I used to date back in school – Chantelle?
Kheeret replies: “Tall, fit. I remember you crushing hard for her.”
“We had a date,” Jags says.
Kheerat bites back: “Yeah? Did she know about it? Cos stalking doesn’t count.”
The pair then end up going to the pub together.
However, Jags might be the person who ends up helping Chantelle leave her husband Gray.
Fans certainly think so, with one person saying: “#EastEnders Looks like the other key for Chantelle escaping her abusive relationship with Gray is Jags!”
Another added: “EastEnders Small appearance from Gray tonight but an important one. Who would of known that Jags liked Chantelle, and how does Gray get mixed into this whole thing? Can’t wait to find out!”
A third said: “Looking forward to Jags dangling Gray off the bridge instead of Martin.”
