DENZEL Danes was once close with Amy Mitchell but rumours have tarnished their bond.
The lad’s father Howie Danes tries to get through to him with the help of Patrick Trueman next week in EastEnders.

The youngster has been having mixed feelings for Amy Mitchell
But the situation could be getting worse
Amy Mitchell has been feeling low, particularly after she made plans to sleep with her then-boyfriend Denzel Danes (played by Jaden Ladega).
This triggered all sorts of rumours and Denzel was even attacked by Amy’s father Jack Branning.
Overwhelmed, Denzel escaped from the drama by breaking up with Amy, which led to her spiralling even further.
Next week, however, he tries to raise her spirits, only to be brushed off.
This prompts long-standing Albert Square resident Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) to talk with the youngster as his father Howie (Delroy Atkinson) fails to have a conversation with him.
Patrick has some words of wisdom for Denzel as he struggles to cope with the unfolding situation with Amy and all the gossip surrounding her.
Howie watches on, wishing he could reach through to his son as easily as Patrick.
But the pair soon hatch a plan together to try and get Denzel to open up.
In later scenes, Denzel is at a loss when the internet is down and Patrick and Howie convince him to play dominoes to pass the time.
The conversation soon turns to Amy and Denzel lets his guard down.
The youngster talks about his complicated feelings until Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) breaks the mood by storming in and turning the router back on.
Denzel is aghast, realising the men tricked him.
Meanwhile at the Branning’s , things are a lot more tense as Amy shuts down and has no intention of reaching out for support.
Her father Jack decides to arrange a belated birthday meal for her and Sam Mitchell decides to take this as an opportunity to build bridges with her son Ricky.
But to do so, she needs to secure herself an invite and tries to get through to Amy.
Sam lets herself into the Branning family home with an old set of keys with a dress she plans to give to the young girl.
Yet when she heads upstairs, Sam makes a shocking discovery about Amy.
