EASTENDERS fans will finally get what they want next week when Ian Beale is exposed as Dennis Mitchell’s killer – after spending lockdown with Sharon in the Queen Vic.

Fans were left speechless as Sharon Mitchell and Ian Beale swooped in to buy the Queen Vic before the soap went off-air due to the coronavirus pandemic, with Sharon oblivious to the fact that Ian had killed Dennis during the soap’s boat disaster.

Ian settles into his new life at The Queen Vic

The grieving mother is convinced her ex Phil is responsible for the death of her son after he caused the disastrous boat crash.

But the final episode also saw Dotty Cotton vow to expose Ian’s killer secret after he got her arrested for drug dealing.

And it looks like Dotty sticks to her word in next week’s episodes of EastEnders as she jeopardises Ian’s new life at The Queen Vic.

With the investigation into the boat crash now concluded, the upcoming scenes will see Ian relax into a false sense of security at the pub.

But later he’s consumed with guilt when Sharon is haunted by memories of the boat crash and quizzes Ian about whether anything of Denny’s was returned.

Meanwhile, the day of Dotty’s court hearing arrives after her arrest at Ruby’s club.

Ian and Dotty come to an agreement and he changes his statement to drop the charges in return for Dotty’s silence about Dennis.

But later, Ian puts his foot in it by winding Dotty up again and she storms over to The Vic.

It all kicks off as Dotty tells Sharon that Ian is the reason Denny died.

Sharon is left reeling by the revelation and confronts Ian, who desperately tries to defend himself and denies Dotty’s claims.

Who will Sharon believe: Ian or Dotty?

And will the guilt get to Ian and lead him to confess all?

Speaking on Secrets from the Square back in July, Adam Woodyatt confirmed that Ian’s killer secret would be revealed when the soap returns to our screens after its summer hiatus: “He’s been locked in The Vic with Sharon and the baby.

“Ian’s still got the guilt of what happened to Dennis. Lies will eventually… they’ve got to come back and bite him.”
