SONIA Fowler decides it’s time to begin searching for her long lost dad Terry Cant next week in EastEnders.
Sonia – who is played by Natalie Cassidy on the BBC One soap – is struggling to cope on her own after her daughter Bex left to go travelling.

EastEnders fans know that things haven’t been easy for Sonia since her daughter Bex attempted to take her own life at the end of last year after struggling to cope under the pressure of heading off to university.
And things only worsened for Sonia in the new year after she started a fling with Bex’s father, Martin Fowler.
Sonia shocked the nation in January when she swindled millionaire Dot out of £8,000 to get Martin off the hook for running over a passer-by.
She then found herself being blackmailed by Martin’s hit and run victim George at the hospital where she works, who demanded money in exchange for not handing Martin into the police.
Poor Sonia realised it had all been for nothing when Martin ended their fling after getting his divorce papers from Stacey later in January.
Sonia was gutted when Martin revealed he was still in love with Stacey and realised that she was always going to be second best.
With Martin having moved on to Ruby, and Sonia’s daughter Bex having left the Square to go travelling, fans know that Sonia has been left to fend for herself.
Next week’s episodes of EastEnders will see Sonia struggle to cope without Bex.
