FORMER EastEnders star Katie Jarvis was arrested after being accused of getting caught up in a drunken brawl.

The actress, who played Hayley Slater in the BBC1 soap, was caught on video rowing with a group of women.

Katie Jarvis was allegedly filmed amid a brawl between two groups of women
Police were called following the filmed scuffle in Southend, Essex
The groups were said to clash while out and about in the seaside town
Katie’s Albert Square character Hayley was the second cousin of Kat Slater, and had a baby with her husband Alfie

Footage shows her shouting and screaming and pushing one of the women.

A witness later reported to police that a member of the group had been called a “f***ing black c***”.

Other eyewitnesses claimed they heard screams of: “F*** Black Lives Matter.”

Police were called and Katie, 29, was taken away in a police car in front of stunned tourists at the popular seafront in Southend, Essex.

The actress, also in hit Brit flick Fish Tank, was spotted drinking with pals at the popular Papillon Bar last Friday evening when she got into a row with a black woman and her group.

A brawl broke out when the actress went to take a chair from the woman’s outdoor table.

An online video shows Katie, in a black vest top and denim shorts, allegedly pushing another reveller.

Footage shows the fight spilling into the street, with drinks and punches thrown as a raucous crowd shouts and cheers.

‘F*** BLACK LIVES MATTER’

A police van pulled up as the fracas ended and Dagenham-born Katie was arrested and taken away.

A witness claimed: “I couldn’t believe it. At one point, she started screaming ‘I’m a famous actress’, and her friends were saying ‘she’s Hayley Slater from EastEnders’.

“Police arrested her and Katie was saying ‘I haven’t done anything wrong!’”

Katie’s Albert Square character Hayley was the second cousin of Kat Slater, and had a baby with her husband Alfie.

In one of her most memorable soap scenes, Katie’s character Hayley pushed Alfie Moon, played by Shane Ritchie, down the stairs in defence of her relative Kat.

Since leaving EastEnders last year, Katie has kept a relatively low profile.

Katie was commended by celebrities for working as a security guard in Romford high street store B&M during a lull in her acting career.

She was defended by stars including Kathy Burke, Katy Brand and Tamzin Outhwaite for grafting for her kids.

Katie has won plaudits for her role as aggressive teen Mia Williams in 2009 British drama film Fish Tank.

Essex Police told HOAR: “A 29-year old woman was arrested on Friday 31 July just after 10.05pm following reports of a disturbance in Marine Parade, Southend.

“She has been arrested on suspicion of assault and racially aggravated public order.

“She has been released on bail until Friday 21 August.”
