FORMER EastEnders star Luisa Bradshaw-White shared a rare snap of her daughters 16 years after she adopted them.

The actress – who played Tina Carter on the BBC One soap – thanked her kids for allowing her to be their mum as she promised to always protect them.

Luisa and wife Annette Yeo adopted the sisters when they were aged just three and four years old.

The star shared the heartfelt tribute with her fans to mark National Adoption Day and gave fans a glimpse of her daughters.

The TV star wrote: “Happy adoption day to my beautiful family, 16 years ago today we became a 4.

“I can’t remember life without you. And I don’t care to.

“You have changed me forever with the love you give to me. I will always love you. I will always fiercely have your backs.

“And I will always cherish the memories we have made.”

Luisa’s said she was the “proudest mum” and overwhelmed with love as she celebrated this special day.

“This year we celebrate with one child travelling the other side of the world and I couldn’t be prouder,” she continued.

“You two blow me away every day with your love and your strength and your kindness. Keep dreaming YOUR dreams.

“You have already made me the proudest Mumma in the world. I love you forever and a day. Thankyou for allowing me to be your mum.”

Luisa previously opened about the “rocky journey” to adopting her daughters with partner Annette.

In 2010, Luisa said: “I don’t post photos of my kids and this photo is so incredibly personal to me. But it is National Adoption Week Adoption, something I am hugely passionate about.

“This photo is the pic that was sent to me by Social Services in 2005. I had been sent so many photos of so many different children.”

“But when I saw this pic of my girls I instantly recognised them and burst into tears! I knew they were mine.”

Luisa revealed that her adoption experience has been “challenging and rocky but so immensely rewarding”.

She continued: “We have been on such a journey since, (they are now 19 and nearly 18). Rocky at times! But I always say they were exactly what I asked for!

“Cheeky, kind, naughty, fun and so loving. I won’t talk about the trauma they have experienced as that is their story. But for me the journey has been so incredibly beautiful. Challenging, but so immensely rewarding.”

The star previously praised her other half as “my anchor” as she shared sweet snaps with fans.

That same year she wrote: “Happy Anniversary @annette.yeo 5 years today. But over 20 you have put up with me!
