EASTENDERS stars Adam Woodyatt and Jake Wood bumped into each other by chance and delighted fans with a reunion snap.

The actors – who played Ian Beale and Max Branning in the BBC One soap – looked surprised to see each other in London’s Kings Cross.

Adam, 53, was barely recognisable in a photo he shared on Instagram, sporting a beard and a hat.

Jake, 49, also flaunted more facial hair than his soap character and showed off his muscles in a sports vest.

The pair flashed big grins after they randomly crossed paths in the busy central London station.

Adam captioned his snap: “Small world!! Bumped into @mrjakewood at Kings Cross”

And his followers were delighted to see them together, with one lamenting: “EE is not the same without you guys ”

Another said: “Competition on who has got the best beard???? 🧔🧔😂😂😍

One more typed: “I’m telling Rainie where to find him 😂😉

Adam split from wife of 22 years Beverley Sharp in 2020, and is now living in a £93,000 motorhome,

He announced last year he would be taking an “extended break” from appearing in EastEnders in news that shocked fans.

The actor had played the role of businessman Ian Beale for a massive 36 years, appearing in the first episode in 1985.

He was last seen on screen in January, with his character wandering away from Walford in a daze after best-friend-turned-wife Sharon tried to murder him.

Meanwhile, Jake’s character Max left Walford in February as he walked away from Walford holding baby Abi after an explosive showdown with Linda and Mick.

The dad of two — married to former care worker Alison for 22 years, whom he describes as “the love of his life” — has been working on his fitness.

He is certainly in great shape, and has taken to regularly posting gruelling workouts on his rapidly growing Instagram page.

He has also been teetotal for years, which goes some way to explaining the six-pack.
