EASTENDERS’ star Tamzin Outhwaite feared she has been “a terrible teacher” as she shared a rare photo of her daughter Marnie.
The former soap star shared her experience of life in lockdown, admitting she was at the end of her tether like many parents around the country.
Tamzin, 48, said there had been “tantrums” and “tears” in her household in her very honest post, alongside a photo of her hugging her eight-year-old daughter.
She captioned her snap: “There have been tantrums, power struggles, many tears, homeschooling fails,separate isolation( generally on a device in a strop)& arguments…
“But I have to remind myself of the positives… singing, the dancing, playing cluedo, riding bikes, gardening,dog walks, cooking,the creativity, and more… I have realised I love and miss my job very much and I’m a rubbish teacher.
“Of course they will be behind on school curriculum in September, we ALL will. I am really just trying to keep us all alive,protect our mental health, and keep this ship afloat…. it won’t be forever and we are all in this together.

The ex-EastEnders star, 49, has been dating filmmaker Tom Child, 28, for two years since meeting at a yoga class.
They’ve been working on a series in lockdown together with stars including Amanda Holden and Angela Griffin.
Former Coronation Street star Angela told HOAR: “It’s me, Lisa Faulkner, Nicola Stephenson, Tamzin Outhwaite, Tracy Ann Oberman, Amanda Holden, Sarah Parish and Lucy Gaskell.
“Sometimes we cry, sometimes we laugh, sometimes we moan and sometimes we just have a cup of tea. We know we’re lucky that we’ve got gardens, but if lockdown does your head in, it does your head in!”
Mum-of-two Tamzin divorced Miranda star Tom Ellis, 41, father to her two daughters, in 2014 after he reportedly cheated on her with Lost actress Emilie de Ravin, 38.
In an interview with Prima mag, she also defended being a cougar.
She said: “There’s Helena Bonham Carter and Joan Collins with younger men, so I’m in really lovely company.”
Speaking to HOAR about her relationship, Tamzin said previously: “People think I’m having a midlife crisis, but not all men want a younger woman.
“Tom’s very good for my mental and physical health.
“He reminds me to just breathe if I’m not having a great time. And he reminds me to sweat, to work out, because it makes you feel better.
“We exercise together. We met years before we went on a date. Our eyes met across a crowded yoga studio, and we’ve been together for more than two years now.”
