Zack has landed himself a new role

He is heading for the USA

But it seems like it was all worth it for Zack as he has now landed himself a huge new TV role.

He will be appearing in Disney+’s remake of Goosebumps an interpretation of R L Stein’s children’s horror books.

Also announced to be joining the cast is Picard star Isa Briones.

The new US TV series is likely to be a real coup for Zack who quit the soap in order to land other more high-profile roles.

Both the names announced will be playing high-schoolers, Variety has confirmed.

Zack looks set to play Issiah, a popular football star who is hiding his family’s money worries from those around him.

He feels the pressure to earn an athletic scholarship to impress and please his family.

Opposite him, Isa will play Jane, a bookworm whose life could be written about in a book itself.

Jane has to deal with accusations of being a snob throughout the show.

A synopsis for the new Disney+ series reads: “The series follows a group of five high schoolers who unleash supernatural forces upon their town and must all work together — thanks to and in spite of their friendships, rivalries and pasts with each other – in order to save it, learning much about their own parents’ teenage secrets in the process.”

Returning from the 2015 movie will be director Rob Letterman who is serving as executive producer alongside The Muppets Most Wanted director Nick Stoller.

Previously confirmed cast members for the upcoming series include Ana Yi Piug (Senior Year), Justin Long (Barbarian), Miles McKenna (Guilty Party) and Will Price (The Equalizer).
