EMMERDALE has confirmed the return of Jacob Gallagher after actor Joe-Warren Plant took a six month break.
The teen son of David Metcalfe left the soap earlier this year to spend time in Portugal with his mum Alicia.

It was to cover Joe-Warren’s absence while he appeared on Dancing on Ice in January.
However now his break has come to an end and in the next few weeks Joe-Warren’s character Jacob will make a shock comeback to the village.
Viewers have been treated to mentions of Jacob over recent weeks as it’s become clear he has been neglecting his friendship with Leanne Cavanagh.
She will be delighted when Jacob returns – however his dad’s new girlfriend Meena Jutla will not.
And Jacob will end up in terrifying danger at the hands of the increasingly deranged nurse.
Fans already know Meena is unhinged after she pretended to be Ethan Anderson’s long-lost mother in a scheme to split her sister’s marriage up.
But could Jacob be in more danger than he was with his dad’s last girlfriend – paedophile Maya?
Summer spoilers released by the soap tease: “Manipulative Meena, played by Paige Sandhu, continues to meddle in Jacob and David’s lives.
“When Jacob, played by Joe Warren Plant, scuppers her plans to move in with David (Matthew Wolfenden), how far will she go to get what she wants?”
The scenes will also see Jacob return for his other mum Leyla Harding’s wedding to Leanna’s dad Liam.
Though things will hit the skids when Liam’s ex Bernice Blackstock turns up in her own wedding dress from her failed wedding to Liam.
