EMMERDALE fans are all saying the same thing about David Metcalfe after Victoria Sugden finally learned the truth about his debts.
The shopkeeper – who is played by actor Matthew Wolfenden in the ITV soap – has been drowning in financial troubles for months.
In tonight’s episode Priya finally told Victoria about David’s money troubles.
And after some digging and talking with Jacob she realised david was in a bigger financial hole than even Priya realised.
The chef decided to sell Harry’s inheritance of the land outside the village to Moira so she could pay off David’s debts.
But when she told David of her plan – she was taken aback by his refusal to let her.
And even more horrified when she realised he was lying about being injured in the crash and was still planning to fleece Nicola King after the minor car crash.
Victoria told him: “Are you really going to do this to Nicola after what she’s been through? It’s dishonest.”

David hit back: “Well I’ve got a doctor’s note to say that it isn’t.”
Honestly David you should be ashamed of yourself.
“Well I’m not, and I need the money so I’m claiming it,” he said before turning nasty with his son and girlfriend.
“I don’t know what you two are getting all saintly for, it happens all the time and everyone does it,” he said.
“I’m not going to get found out – it’s the perfect plan.
“Now the bills are going to get paid, so you two can stop lecturing me and stop interfering. I don’t need either of you.”
