EMMERDALE fans were tonight left all saying the same thing, as Paddy remained missing.

The local vet has recently been spiralling out of control and made the decision to vanish from the village.

He has started to spiral after finding out his wife Chas cheated on him

On tonight’s Emmerdale the police said they were scaling down there search for him and the Dingles were left at their wit’s end.

The beloved vet, portrayed by Dominic Brunt, was heartbroken when he found out his wife Chas Dingle had been cheating on him with Al Chapman.

In recent scenes of the Yorkshire-based soap, Paddy spent the night with former flame Mandy Dingle, leaving many fans with their jaws dropped.

However, he then left to run an errand and never returned.

Tonight members of the Dingle clan were told by PC Swirling that there had been a sighting of Paddy.

The family gathered around to see him in some CCTV footage.

But they were horrified when they were told the police were scaling back their search after locating him, which left Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) fuming.

But what fans at home couldn’t get their heads around, is why Paddy’s friends and family aren’t going out to search for him.

One tweeted: “Why don’t they go out and look for him! They’ve got car’s ?

While another said: “Has anyone checked if Paddy’s passport is missing??”

This one commented: “What I don’t get is, why none of his family are out searching for him?”

Meanwhile, Emmerdale bosses have confirmed Paddy is set for a hard-hitting suicide storyline as the character has continually struggled with his mental health since his split with Chas.

In scenes airing next month, the vet will be issuing veiled goodbyes to his loved ones before deciding to act out.

The storyline will aim to give an accurate view of male depression and suicide, as explained by producer Laura Shaw.

“As soon as we started discussing this story we knew that it was vital for us to get it right and that we needed to open up the conversation about male depression and suicide”, she explained

  • Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7.30pm on ITV.
