SOME storylines in the ITV Dales meet little success among viewers.
Disappointed by Leyla Cavanagh’s recent cocaine addiction, soap fans are asking Emmerdale bosses to scrap the storyline once again.
After getting shot by serial killer Meena Jutla and risking death, Leyla Cavanagh (portrayed by actress Roxy Shahidi) has been catapulted into the spotlight.
ITV viewers have seen her develop a cocaine addiction in recent episodes.
The character has kept her vice under wraps from villagers although new Emmerdale resident Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough) knows all about it.
Leyla has promised her friend Suzy, who has sworn off the drugs, she will quit.

But this has being proven to be a challenge the wedding planner is struggling to overcome.
During Friday’s instalment of the Yorkshire-based program, Leyla was seen chucking her drugs down the drain after almost crashing into an off-duty police officer’s car.
However, Leyla turned back to cocaine as she bought more drugs from Jason Denshaw, played by ex-Hollyoaks star Parry Glasspool.
But the addiction storyline hasn’t enthralled fans of the long-running drama.
Many of them took to Twitter to put it on blast, branding it “ridiculous” and asking bosses to drop it altogether.
“It’s gone from the ridiculous storyline of Meena to the ridiculous storyline of Leyla being a druggy”, one viewer commented on Friday.
A second viewer tweeted: “This Leyla drug SL is getting more farcical.”
A third fan complained: “This Leyla drug storyline”, adding sleeping emojis along with a gif of Chandler Bing from Friends falling asleep.
Another viewer jumped in: “Even by Emmerdale’s recent standards, these Leyla & David storylines are ludicrous.”
“This Leyla storyline is pathetic”, a fifth penned, “There’s too many druggies and alcoholics in Emmerdale.”
One final fan fumed: “This Leyla/Lola story is bloody pathetic.”
