Viewers know Sandra is trying to convince Liv to sell her house so she can get her hands on the cash.

But having been unable to split Liv and husband Vinny up using jealously, tonight she took her daughter to the pub for some mocktails – before switching one and manipulating Liv into drinking it.

Sandra wasted no time in moving outside and pretending to be horrified so she could tell Vinny when he arrived.

Putting on her concerned voice, Sandra told Vinny the worst possible version of what happened – insisting that Liv swallowed the rum willingly.

She even convinced him to keep her out of it and pretend that she hadn’t told him.

Vinny went straight home to check on his wife – but Sandra’s manipulations worked.

Despite Liv opening up and insisting she didn’t want to drink, Vinny sought out a local support meeting – infuriating Liv.

“Online support meetings?” she fumed.

“I didn’t go looking for alcohol, I didn’t ask for alcohol, I didn’t want alcohol. I just had a tiny sip of a drink with alcohol in it, by accident.”

Vinny demanded to know why she hadn’t told him, saying: “This is how it starts – denial.”

Sandra walked in during the row – but played it cool and said she wasn’t going to get involved.

“Maybe everyone was right,” said Liv back.

“This was never going to work. Maybe we’re both in denial.”

Vinny looked devastated by Sandra was thrilled that her vile plan was working.

And viewers were utterly disgusted with her.

One wrote: “Sandra, a proper mum doesn’t try spike their daughter’s drink, interfere in her marriage and makes plans to fleece her of her house and money.”

A second said: “Whoever is writing the Sandra character, just stop!”

Another added: “WHY are soap mothers always bloody vile and disgusting ?? Seriously . What kind of “Mother” is Sandra?”
