EMMERDALE fans have been left furious that Chas Dingle played away as her mum Faith tragically died.

Faith (Sally Dexter) passed away after making the heartbreaking decision to end her own life following her tough cancer battle which has seen her grow increasingly weaker in recent weeks.

Chas played away while Faith slipped away

Fans were ‘disgusted’ by her behaviour

After passing away in the arms of her son Cain, fans at home were outraged that Chas was all loved up with Al Chapman in a hotel room.

Chas and Al were seen enjoying one another’s company as they playfully lounged around on the bed in white robes.

During yesterday’s edition of the show, Al turned Chas’ phone to silent so that she could relax in peace and be left undistracted by the outside world and the pressures at home, unaware of the tragedy about to unfold.

As Chas leans over to grab her mobile phone, Al asks what she is doing.

A blissfully unaware Chas responds: “I’m going to order a bottle of fizz from the app thingy.”

However, as Chas picks up her phone her face instantly drops as she says: “Oh no, I’ve got 10 missed calls from Paddy, how could I have missed 10 calls?”

Al attempts to reassure her saying: “Ok, just keep calm.”

Chas hits play on the voicemail from Paddy before immediately panicking and making her attempts to leave.

As she argues with Al while running out of the door, Chas shouts: “I swear if something has happened!”

Fans expressed their disgust that Chas played away as Faith took her final breaths.

One fan raged: “Chas you’ve got no right to be crying!!! You were cheating on your husband while your mum was dying!!!”

Another added: “Chas will regret this and we won’t forgive her.”

A third fuming fan said: “Chas is disgusting I actually feel sick now.”

While a fourth penned: “The guilt Chas is going to have is brilliant to see. Sounds harsh but I don’t really like her anymore.”

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm and Sunday 16 October at 7pm on ITV.
