EMMERDALE fans are convinced they have worked out a horrifying secret Marshall is keeping.
The love interest of Arthur Thomas recently confirmed he is romantically interested in his schoolfriend but rushed away when he got a phone call from his dad.

Marshall denied that he was gay and told Arthur they couldn’t be friends
Viewers know Marshall’s dad is a homophobe after he was taken to task by Laurel Thomas.
But now they think he is even worse – with Marshall being pulled out of school and changing his mind about going out with Arthur.
They think he is being abused by his dad.
In tonight’s episode when Marshall visited Arthur, Arthur invited Marshall in and asked him why he wasn’t at school.
He told him: “My dad wanted to spend some time with me, that’s all. It doesn’t matter.”
But then he added the bombshell: “We can’t be friends.
“This is your dad talking, isn’t it?” Arthur replied.
“He thinks i’m a bad influence and that I’m trying to turn you gay.”
“I’m not gay, it’s disgusting,” snapped Marshall,.
“It’s not confusing, it’s sick and it’s wrong. You don’t know me, not really. Everything was fine until I met you.
“So please do me a favour and leave me alone.”
Viewers are horrified and think Marshall is being abused by his dad and subjected to conversion therapy.
One wrote: Good grief, Marshall is seriously messing with Arthur’s head. That’s not nice at all.”
A second said: “Marshall pushing Arthur away because of his father’s homophobia. Marshall is in denial over his sexuality because of his poisonous father.”
Another added: “Marshalls dad is a bigot and Laurel has a right to be concerned.”
