But how will he react when her feelings become romantic? The young mum shoots her shot tonight in Emmerdale.
Mackenzie Boyd is becoming more involved in his son’s life
And he forms a friendship with Chloe
Could it go downhill?
The hunk played by Lawrence Robb was confronted by his wife Charity Dingle after it was finally revealed to her that he was the father of Chloe Harris’ baby.
Since then, Mackenzie has turned his attention on his new fatherhood, although he initially desperately tried to mend his marriage with Charity.
Against all odds, he found support in Chloe (played by Jessie Elland) who agreed to include him more in Reuben’s daily activities.
Tonight on ITV, Mack and Chloe are bolstered by their growing friendship.
The pair have recently registered Reuben’s birth together and Mack announced to a devastated Charity that he has been listed as the father.
During tonight’s trip to the eponymous Yorkshire village, Mack promises his commitment to Reuben as the tot is given the all clear following his horrific health ordeal.
Chloe is over the moon as her son is officially recovered and, caught up in a tender moment, she goes in for a kiss.
How will Mack react?
As mentioned above, Mackenzie tried to win Charity over again when she’d found out that he had been unfaithful.
But his infidelity, which occurred after they’d lost a baby of their own, was too fresh on Charity’s mind and she rejected him.
In an attempt to get back at him, she also sold his clothes to fellow Dales residents and kicked him out of their home.
The final blow for her came when she spotted Mack alongside Reuben and Chloe in the village, realising they were forming the happy family that her husband had always wanted.
Does Mack have no chance of winning Charity back?
