CHARITY Dingle and Vanessa Woodfield are in for yet another setback next week in Emmerdale when they realise they need her ex to give them the green light for Johnny’s adoption.
Charity and Vanessa share the news that Charity is planning on adopting Johnny in upcoming scenes after weeks of bickering – but not all goes to plan.

Emmerdale fans know that Vanessa’s cancer diagnosis has put huge strain on her relationship with Charity.
A string of tense arguments between the pair recently left fans fearing that they might be heading for splitsville.
The pair had a bust-up at the chemo ward after Charity found her sitting with Kerry – who started the fire that killed Vanessa’s fire.
Vanessa then didn’t exactly help matters when she got sozzled in town with Rhona and ended up having a fight with a student in a bar.
Viewers will know that the pair’s bickering only got worse when Vanessa asked Rhona – and not Charity – to be Johnny’s guardian if she doesn’t survive her battle with cancer.
Charity was gutted at the decision and lashed out at Vanessa, telling her it was clear her “feelings don’t matter”.
Charity then raged: “What you think is what counts. You’ve made that crystal clear.”
And when Vanessa promised that she “loves” Charity, she replied: “Well you’ve got a funny way of showing it sometimes.”
But in scenes set to air this week, the pair are finally set to get a break when they reveal the good news that Charity is planning on adopting Johnny.
Next week’s episodes of Emmerdale will see Charity go on a rampage when she realises that she needs the permission of Johnny’s ex in order to adopt Johnny.
In the upcoming scenes, Charity marches into the HOP office and demands that Priya gives her information on the whereabouts of Rakesh and Kirin.
But Priya insists she has no clue where they are.
Charity is gutted to have already reached a dead end in her search.
Later, Charity admits to Rhona that she needs Johnny’s father Kirin to agree to the adoption for it to happen, and the pair agree it could be tricky.
Will the couple overcome this huge obstacle?
