ILLICIT lovers Chas Dingle and Al Chapman are taking things to a new level next week.

But another Emmerdale resident could be made aware of their affair in scenes due to air on ITV.

Chas Dingle and Al Chapman are still sneaking around the village

They even plan to run away together – but Kerry Wyatt gets the wrong end of the stick

She makes a huge decision about her relationship with Al next week

The Woolpack pub manager portrayed by Lucy Pargeter sought comfort in the local businessman after finding out her mother Faith had been diagnosed with cancer and her condition was terminal.

Al (played by Michael Wildman) and Chas have since been sneaking around the eponymous village, unbeknownst to their respective partners, Kerry Wyatt and Paddy Dingle, and despite trying to stay away from one another.

Things are taken to the next level in upcoming scenes when Al proposes to Chas that they run away from the Dales together, in an attempt to prove his commitment to her.

The following day, Al gets his accounts in order as he prepares to buy a house for him and Chas and he’s delighted with the way his plans are going ahead.

Meanwhile, Kerry (Laura Norton) gets the wrong end of the stick when she sees him viewing houses online and assumes he’s looking for them.

Unable to contain her excitement, she tries to squeeze out information about the house he was viewing and Al is left feeling uncomfortable.

Kerry is all loved-up as she decides to plan a surprise of her own – blissfully unaware that Al is telling Chas he’s ready to end things with her.

Adamant on taking action, Al gets to the pub but is blindsided when Kerry proposes to him by doing a rap.

Everyone in the Woolpack cringes and Chas reels at the spectacle.

A shell-shocked Al falters… but ultimately says yes to getting engaged.

Chas is crushed but outside the pub, Al insists that he’s still only committed to her.

The pair are unable to resist a moment of passion but are struck with horror when someone catches them.

ITV viewers may remember that this wouldn’t be the first time the lovebirds are caught as Belle Dingle previously bumped into them together.

She made them promise not to pursue their secret relationship but Chas and Al ignored her warning.

Is this the end of the line for them?

Emmerdale airs from Monday to Friday on ITV.
