LOVE in the Dales is nothing short of a challenge and only a few couples can keep a united front.
Next week in Emmerdale, two residents realise they’ve reached a point of no return and call it quits.

The wedding planner and her husband Liam decide to call it quits
Tragedy has struck and tarnished Leyla and Liam Cavanagh’s (respectively played by Roxy Shahidi and Jonny McPherson) year-long marriage.
But unlike some couples in the eponymous village who manage to stick together through thick and thin, they decide they’ve jumped through all the hurdles they could.
Coming up on ITV, things are tense between Leyla and Liam as they try to spend time together.
Their conversation soon runs out of steam, leading them to the inevitable conclusion the spark is gone.
Though they’ve tried, Leyla is tearful as Liam declares their relationship is mostly defined by grief, loss and lies.
The wedding planner and the GP both come to the conclusion they are no good for each other and reel from the magnitude of their decision.
Heartbroken, they remove their own wedding rings, marking the end of their romance.
In later scenes, Leyla is close to tears but finds comfort in Priya Sharma (Fiona Wade) whose heart goes out to her.
Liam and Leyla have had their fair share or turmoil throughout recent months.
One month after their wedding, the village GP lost his daughter Leanna.
The eighteen-year-old was pushed off a bridge by serial killer Meena Jutla on her birthday.
Leanna became a bother for Meena when she’d found out the sinister nurse had murdered her former best friend Nadine Butler.
Following Leanna’s tragic passing, Liam took his grief out on his own wife but tensions escalated when Leyla was addicted to cocaine.
For several weeks, she kept her addiction a secret but it eventually came to light after an overdose.
Liam found it hard to cope with her recovery, especially after finding Leyla had been keeping secrets from him.
To top it all off, Liam cheated on Leyla with his former flame Bernice Blackstock, who he gave up on to tie the knot with the wedding planner.
Is it really the end for Liam and Leyla?
