EMMERDALE fans were left horrified as Sam Dingle suffered a horror accident with a digger as a storm rips through the Dales village.
As part of Emmerdale’s 50th anniversary, the village is hit with a horrific storm and show bosses teased deaths and heartache to mark the soap’s milestone.
But fans of the hit soap were left gobsmacked as a gory scene showed Sam Dingle slumped across a digger, impaled by the spikes of the vehicle’s shovel.
And actor James Hooton hinted his character may in fact be dead – and joked to Twitter followers: “Did anything happen in @emmerdale tonight?
“Feel like I’ve been spiked,” he continued, before posting: “Ok…I get it….you’re supposed to throw the javelin, not land on it. DEAD funny me.”
