REELING from Harriet Finch’s death, Dawn Fletcher was mortified when faced with the possibility of becoming homeless.

But Emmerdale businesswoman Kim Tate, played by Claire King, makes an offer that could solve all of her problems.

Dawn and Billy Fletcher were worried they would become homeless

But Kim Tate has an offer for them and it could solve all of their issues

The couple were being blackmailed by Alex Moore, Dawn’s former partner

The receptionist played by Olivia Bromley was heartbroken by the death of her mother figure Harriet Finch.

Actress Katherine Dow Blyton bowed out of the long-running soap when her character was killed following a quad bike accident, during an explosive anniversary week.

But as she was getting ready to pay her respects to the former vicar and policewoman one last time, Dawn was hit with some bad news.

She found out the money from Harriet’s will wouldn’t be enough for her and her husband Billy (Jay Kontzle) to live in Woodbine Cottage.

The couple quickly tried to hatch a plan to buy the home for themselves to avoid being left out in the cold- until Dawn’s former partner Alex Moore showed up demanding Harriet’s money.

The troublemaker (Liam Boyle) even threatened to take his daughter Clemmie away from Dawn, Billy and her half-brother Lucas.

Yet in scenes due to air on ITV next week, Kim Tate finds a solution neither Dawn nor Billy will be able to look down upon.

Happy to have her family back again, the businesswoman offers Dawn and her family free lodgings.

The couple accept, chuffed to know they’ll be safe after all.

But is all really as it seems?

Kim has stopped at nothing to protect her nearest and dearest and when Alex rocked up the Dales to blackmail Dawn, she immediately took action.

She even received the help of Dawn’s father, Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) whom she married in recent episodes of the Yorkshire-based program.

The pair lured Alex into a trap before tying him up and keeping him hostage in the Home Farm stables.

Will, who had already tried to scare off Alex, eventually gave him a fierce beating and Kim admired his bravado, glad to see they were on the same page.

But they haven’t always formed a united front.

Upon learning that his former lover Harriet was dead, Will accused Kim of murdering her, knowing she was no stranger to committing such a crime.

Will Dawn and Billy be happy with Kim’s offer in the long-run?

Emmerdale airs weeknights, from Monday to Friday at 7.30pm.
