Emmerdale spoilers: Laurel calls the police on Arthur after rescuing Dotty from dangerous fire he set

LAUREL makes the drastic decision to report her son Arthur to the police in Emmerdale next week after he nearly kills his sister Dotty.

Arthur lights a huge fire during a camping trip in upcoming scenes as his abuse of little Archie escalates – which spreads and nearly burns Dotty alive.

Laurel reports Arthur to the police to teach him a lesson

Emmerdale fans will remember that Archie moved to live with dad Jai following the death of his mum Rachel Spencer at the end of last year.

But Arthur didn’t take well to the new arrival, and has been bullying little Archie for months on the ITV soap after growing jealous of the attention he gets from his mum Laurel. 

Viewers were left disturbed by the hard-hitting abuse storyline which saw Arthur take out his own personal grief for his dad on the youngster.

When Jai discovered that Archie had been beating black and blue, he went on the warpath and accused Jimmy King of hurting his son.

But Laurel eventually discovered that the abuser was Arthur, and after weeks of keeping it secret to protect her son she finally told Jai

Episodes of Emmerdale set to air this week will see tension rise yet again between the boys during a family camping trip. 

When Archie gets attention from his mum, Arthur’s blood boils and he later starts a huge campfire

Arthur has left Laurel at her wit’s end

Next week’s episodes of Emmerdale will see a distraught Laurel cut Dotty out of a burning tent. 

Arthur and Archie look on in horror as Dotty is carted off to the doctor’s surgery. 

An angry Jai then demands an explanation from Arthur.

The youngster tries to make excuses for himself, but Archie eventually tells his dad the truth about what happened. 

Laurel tells Manpreet how worried she is about Arthur’s awful behaviour. 

Feeling that he’s spiralled out of control, Laurel informs the police in order to teach her son a lesson. 

But could she just be making things a whole lot worse?
