EMMERDALE fans have been warned to ‘get your Kleenex out’ as Mandy reveals a ‘huge secret’ to her son Vinny.

Lisa Riley made the revelation as the soap is set to continue its run of special lockdown episodes.

Lisa, who plays Mandy Dingle in the ITV show, told This Morning as she discussed the episodes which show how characters have been dealing with living in isolation: “Mandy’s an attention seeker.

“She’s got a karaoke machine and her alcohol, but she’s not got a real audience.”

“It will unfold tonight and will be very funny. The humour will be there fully and then we’re going to reveal a secret.”

Chatting to hosts Phil Schofield and Holly Willoughby, she went on: “It’s a topic that I’m personally really proud of it. It isn’t really tackled much in soap opera.

“I think towards the end of the episode after we’ve made you laugh, you may need to get your Kleenex out.”

Lisa also added that Emmerdale viewers are also set to find out more about Vinny’s dad Paul (Reece Dinsdale) as the next few weeks.

Lisa also revealed the first photos of the soap’s socially-distanced set as the cast and crew head back to filming.

The actress shared glimpses from behind the scenes as she revealed bosses had to go to huge lengths to ensure the safety of everyone.

Talking about how safe the set feels, Lisa said: “I feel safer at work than I do at home or in the supermarket.”

As Phil questioned what measures they were taking, Lisa explained that the floor has been marked out to show where everyone can stand.

“We have a lady with a bamboo stick that is two metres,” she laughed.
