EMMERDALE paedophile Maya Stepney is set to be released from prison just five months after being sent down.

The evil teacher – played by actress Louisa Clein on the ITV soap – was sentenced to a year for abusing Jacob Gallagher but will send shockwaves through the village as she makes her unwelcome return.

Emmerdale fans were left disgusted after watching Maya groom her boyfriend David Metcalfes son over the past year.

Shocking scenes showed Maya manipulate Jacob into a sexual relationship as she seduced the teenin a hotel on his birthday.

However, it looked like Mayas game was finally up as she was taken away by the police after David discovered her seedy secret and reported her.

But David faced a blow when the disgraced teacher was given a lighter sentence than expected after having her abuse charges reduced down to sexual contact with a minor.

In court the judge and jury believed Mayas lies that she hadnt had sex with Jacob – instead accusing her of betraying her position at the school.

The manipulative teacher was sentenced to just a year behind bars.

Her lenient sentence left fans fearing shed be back soon for revenge on David for keeping her apart from Jacob – and it looks like they could be right.

In an upcoming episode, David will become wracked with worry when he hears Maya is being released from prison after just five months.

A concerned David and Leyla decide to tell Jacob the news and are shocked when he acts calm – but is he showing his true feelings?

And things soon take a turn for the worse when the troubled youth reacts badly to Maya’s ex-stepdaughter Leannas attempts to support him.

After he runs away, David and Leyla are left panicking that hes gone to see Maya.

This would seem likely considering that Jacob has already tried to trick his family before – preparing to run away with Maya ahead of her court appearance.

The troubled grooming victim, who remains in denial of his abuse, has also been causing David and Leyla more heartache by insisting on waiting for his abuser to be released from prison.

Will they find Jacob before it’s too late?
