EMMERDALE’s Pete Barton decides its time to leave the village after former flame Tracy Metcalfe moves on with Nate Robinson.
Pete and Tracys relationship turned out to be as cursed as his previous attempts at romance on the ITV soap and now it looks like the farmer has decided enough is enough.
Emmerdale fans know that Pete Barton has had a difficult couple of months.
He found himself in the firing line after Moiras affair was exposed, with Cain Dingle torturing him to admit he had slept with her.
Pete also recently rekindled his romance with Tracy after the pair finally admitted they still had feelings for each other.
They had grown close following her dads death from the explosion at the Sharma factory earlier this year.
Pete and Tracy’s relationship didn’t work out in EmmerdaleBut the cursed lovebirds’ relationship was over before it really started, following in the footsteps of Pete’s failed romances with Debbie Dingle and Rhona Goskirk.
Fans were also heartbroken for Pete when he lost his close family friend Moira after ditching her to join Nate Robinson at Wylies farm.
In an upcoming episode, with romance blossoming between Nate and Tracy, Pete feels like a gooseberry.
And in scenes yet to air, he makes a big decision that will change his life forever.
It was announced in September that actor Anthony Quinlan – who plays Pete on the show – is bowing out of the ITV soap.
A soap source said: Anthony has loved his time on Emmerdale but he is really keen to try and make a name for himself away from just soaps, and is looking at auditions.
He says he would be up for doing a reality show too, like the jungle or Strictly, but with a full-on filming schedule for Emmerdale thats quite tricky.
