EMMMERDALE’s Zoe Henry teases a reunion between her character Rhona and Marlon.
The vet has very been unlucky on the romance side of things during her time in the village and was revealed what may happen in the future.
When speaking to Inside Soap, the actress commented on who she thinks is the right man for her character, and looked no further than the pub chef.
Zoe said: “That’s hard, as they’ve all done her wrong – apart from Marlon.
“It’s over for Rhona and Paddy now, but she could rekindle things with Marlon, which would be amazing for Leo, and for April, as Rhona is the closest she has to a mother.
Professionally, I’ve loved working with all the actors who have played Rhona’s love interests, so I really couldn’t pick a favourite. I’ve been very lucky!”
The soap star, who is approaching two decades on the soap, revealed her family may make an appearance in the Yorkshire Dales.
She stated: “I’d love to see Rhona’s mum, who lives in Kent and we hear about all the time, come to the Dales.”
Zoe, who is married to Cain Dingle star Jeff Hordley in real life, would love a former EastEnders star to play her character’s mother.
“I had my eye on Judith Barker to play her, but then she was cast as Lydia’s mother, dammit! Jeff and I have since been wondering about Susan George – we think she would be great!”
Susan George is best known for playing Margaret Walker in the BBC serial drama for a short time in 2001, the same year that Zoe made her first appearance on Emmerdale.
Despite featuring on the same soap, the real life couple Zoe and Jeff behind the characters admit they dislike working together.
“I think we probably both prefer not to work together!”
She added in another interview: “Of course we enjoy each other’s company, yet I think we quite enjoy each other’s independence at work.
“I don’t know how well Rhona and Cain would get on, either – although I can see why it’s a source of amusement for people if we’re in the same scenes!”
