NICOLA King is overwhelmed by her recent attack next week and gets into a collision with David Metcalfe.
Speaking of filming the scenes, Emmerdale actress Nicola Wheeler said she underwent a hip replacement before acting them out.
Mugged and beaten by a group of teenage girls in recent scenes of the Yorkshire-based soap, Nicola King is set to struggle with the lingering trauma of her attack.
This will lead to her not only failing to cope with going outside and being left alone but also getting into a car crash with shop owner David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden).
Nicola gets behind the wheel, mortified as she realises nobody is available to pick up the children from school.
Overwhelmed with thoughts of her attack, and as spoilers have confirmed, Nicola slams on the accelerator and crashes into David.

David angrily confronts her, demanding her insurance details, but Nicola panics and rushes back into her house before bolting the door.
During an interview with HOAR, actress Nicola Wheeler spoke about the scenes and revealed she had done all of her stunts by herself.
This was despite the fact she had undergone hip replacement surgery.
“I don’t know whether I should tell you this because Emmerdale might get into trouble”, she first told us.
“I literally came out of my dressing room and they handed me some car keys and said, ‘Right, what we want you to do is get in the car, drive and then slam the brakes on. You can do this can’t you?’”
Nicola then added: “Bear in mind, I had only just had my hip replaced! I was fully healed, don’t worry, they didn’t drag me in early.”
She also admitted she’d been scared of filming the scenes due to her previous injury.
“I thought, what if I don’t get the brakes on? It was actually quite scary”, she said.
