EMMERDALE’S Samantha Giles has claimed she met husband Sean Pritchard “in another life” when she was a man.

The 50-year-old – who plays Bernice Blackstock in the ITV soap – identifies as a white witch.

She has previously said she uses magic and the supernatural for the greater good.

The soap star also believes she met her husband in a past life – and even looked like him.

Samantha said on a recent episode of the Wonderbirds YouTube show: “I do think that, you know, I mean, some of us, this is our first life, but most of us I would imagine have lived before. I feel we have. Yeah, definitely.

When asked if she had been involved in any past life regression, she added: “I have years ago, yeah…

“It was weird really, because I was this man actually, and I’d gone to work on this fairground, and the weird thing is it was before I’d met my husband, but I looked like my husband.

“I had black curly hair and the woman that I was marrying, if you like, looked like me now.

“So when I met my husband, I had this feeling of meeting him when I saw him – ‘I know you, I’ve met you before’.

“So it was almost as if we’d looked like each other in another life.”

Samantha and Sean tied the knot in 2010.

They share two kids together.

Back in March 2020, the actress opened up about how she created a love spell to meet her other half.

Speaking to OK!, she said: “I met him three months after the spell.

“It’s about things being aligned. Sometimes people say to me, ‘I put this thought out there and it didn’t work!’ But sometimes things aren’t in the right place so you have to let them go until it’s time.”

In May she explained a bit more how she found the man of her dreams.

She told OK!: “I’d come out of a disastrous relationship and I didn’t want to be messing about with any waste-of-space boyfriends.

“I used Pagan witchcraft and wrote down exactly what I was after and used candles and crystals.

“I sell love spells, crystals, stress busters and all sorts online.”

The star now has a dedicated website where she flog remedies for everything from exam stress to baby blessings with prices ranging from £8 to £15.99.

It comes after Samantha revealed she hated Meena Jutla’s storyline on the show.

The actress originally joined the soap in 1998 as Bernice Blackstock, but admitted she rarely watches the show she stars in.

But she recently confessed she was tired of Meena’s serial killer antics and wanted it over and done with.

During the same Wonderbirds episode, she said: “I think it is. It’s terrible, I’m in the show and I don’t really ever watch it, which is awful.

“You know what it’s like, it’s that time when you’re either putting the kids to bed or you’re getting dinner or whatever, but I know that it’s very close to coming to a head.”

Samantha added: “And I think it’s probably timely. Lots of people have said that they’ve enjoyed it, but you know, come on, it’s time for it to [end].”

Emmerdale viewers have watched Meena’s rampage across the village which has seen her murder, lie and enact revenge on almost anyone who crossed her path.

But she finally got her comeuppance last week when the police charged her with the murders of Leanna Cavanagh, Andre Tate and Ben Tucker.

She was also charged with the attempted murders of Victoria Sugden and Leyla Cavanagh and for the possession of an unregulated firearm.

Samantha has played Bernice in Emmerdale on/off since 1998.
