Aaron, 31, said: “Hi everyone, just a quick one, if people are having to self isolate, and are getting lonely and missing people, and don’t have anyone to talk to, you can always message me on here.

“I will certainly message back and keep the dialogue going because I know that loneliness can be a really horrible thing for people and get them into a scary mindset.”

The actor, who played Steven Beale in the BBC One soap on and off until September 2017, then said he could also provide some light relief for people at a show he’s currently starring in called Buyer & Cellar in London.

He said: “If you’re not having to self isolate and you just need a laugh, pop down and see me in Vauxhall, the show’s cheap and silly and funny and maybe might just get you out of a negative head space in this time.

Aaron took to his Instagram Stories to say he would reply to people who were struggling in self isolation from Coronavirus

“Anything I can do to help, always here like I said, if you’re feeling lonely in self isolating just drop me a message and I’ll chat back and hopefully you won’t feel so lonely.”

He finished off his message by saying: “Stay safe everyone.”

Aaron’s post comes just a few weeks after he revealed he was threatened at knifepoint on his way home from the gym.

Speaking on his Instagram Story, he said: “Just walking back from the gym same way I always go every single day and some little kid just pulled out a bread knife on me.

“You live in Kent, the garden of England, you little t**t. And a bread knife.

“Just anyone – I’ve got some friends in here who follow me in the area – beware of kids with bread knives down by country park. Because they’re on half term, a little bit bored and they feel like scaring people.”

He also posted on Twitter, writing: “Just had a kid pull what looked like a bread knife on me as I walked back from the gym. Clearly a kid on half term as I never see him around. Ffs! Stupid wanna be gangsta!”
