Ex-Hollyoaks actress Terri Dwyer reveals she’s got ‘brutal’ coronavirus symptoms and her cough is ‘horrendous’

EX-HOLLYOAKS actress Terri Dwyer has revealed that she’s got “brutal” coronavirus symptoms – including a “horrendous” cough.

The 46-year-old actress is currently on day five of her quarantine after appearing to come down with the dangerous disease earlier this week.

Terri is currently battling coronavirus symptoms

Taking to her Twitter page earlier today, Terri  – who previously beat skin cancer – thanked fans for their support as she detailed her experience.

She wrote: “Thank you all for your well wishes. You are all keeping me sane in very difficult times.

“Day 5 with #covid19UK symptoms- it’s brutal, I’m not gonna lie. The cough is horrendous!

“But my family are still good, so don’t panic – we all react differently. Stay strong you lovely lot.”

Terri previously revealed how her symptoms started, tweeting at the time: “Started with a sore throat and flu like aches and pains.

“The dry, hacking cough has got progressively worse. I know some people have the fever too so many more worse than me.”

When she first shared her symptoms, the star admitted that she didn’t know for sure if she had coronavirus or something else as only those who are hospitalised with the symptoms are given the test.

The mother-of-two added: “I’m grateful not to be as bad as some, gutted my whole family have to #selfisolate for #14days because of me.”

Terri shot to fame playing Ruth Osborne in Hollyoaks between 1995 and 2001, briefly returning to the Channel 4 soap in 2003.

Coronavirus has become a global pandemic, with thousands of people testing positive for the life-threatening illness.
