LUXURY fashion label Dior has been mocked for its latest fashion advertising campaign by shoppers – for copying the style of Coronation Street star Deirdre Barlow.

The French designer features a stunning model in its campaign – wearing an oversized pair of glasses in the style of the Corrie stalwart.

Dior’s new ad campaign was mocked as it features a beautiful model wearing an oversized pair glasses

The pair of glasses is in a similar style to those of Deirdre Barlow from Coronation Street

Soap fans posted an image of the Dior campaign christening it Diordrie Barlow.

Beatrice Caball replied: Oh God! My glasses are Dior, as were the pair before that, the quality is amazing (let’s just say they’ve been called upon).”

“I was only saying last night how after 5yrs now I must look again, but they better have better than that!

Avril Goodenough posted in response: Made me laugh…I had some expensive Dior Deirdre’s back in the day!

Another wrote: “Hilarious… Right up my Street & I dont even watch the programme lol.

Deidre – played by Anne Kirkbride – made her first appearance on the cobbles in 1972 before leaving in 2014.

Jokers renamed the campaign ‘Diordrie Barlow’

She died of breast cancer aged 60 the following year.

Its not the first time Dior adverts have been doctored by jokers.

A campaign featuring Hollywood actor Johnny Depp for new fragrance Sauvage was changed to read Sausage.
