GRIFF Reynolds has been terrorising the cobbles alongside his far-right group.

The activist has one more deadly surprise for everyone in Coronation Street – and Spider Nugent could pay the price.

Griff Reynolds has a plan in mind

But Spider Nugent is working hard to try and stop him

Will Max Turner be spared?

Could Griff kill to protect his plans?

1. Griff’s plan is revealed

The extremist played by Michael Condron brings danger to the cobbles this week.

Griff has recently managed to spread fear in Weatherfield, particularly after his gang brutally attacked a young Daryan.

But him and his far-right group still have a message to share.

Unfortunately for him, troubled teen Max Turner (portrayed by Paddy Bever) will also be involved.

Coming up on ITV, after the lad makes the decision to move in with Griff, his father David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) gets a stern warning from Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor).

According to her, Griff is a dangerous man and he needs to get Max out of his grasp.

Toyah is spot on as it becomes clear that Griff is planning something big for Maria Connor’s Christmas market, which she rebrands as a Peace festival.

Everything comes to a head when Max is told by Griff and the gang that the Speed Daal van is at the bottom of the canal, while he spots it on Victoria Street.

Max picks up on another terrifying sign when his girlfriend Lauren takes a call from her father, warning her to steer well away from the market.

The youngster begins to panic and reckons they should call the police.

Will he stop Griff?

Spider is in mortal danger

2. Spider fights for his life

To make matters worse, Griff goes after another resident in Weatherfield – undercover copper Spider Nugent (Martin Hancock).

Before he can take things up a notch by setting up a potentially deadly explosion, Griff demands that Spider meets him in his flat.

The latter obliges, unaware Griff is leading him to believe he is planning something for Maria’s meeting at the Town Hall.

Griff has a plan to get rid of Spider after learning the truth about his stay in the cobbles and his profession.

In later scenes, Spider gets a message from Max, whom he’s trying to protect from Griff, asking to meet him urgently.

Sadly, it’s clear Spider fell into a trap when he comes face to face with Griff who knocks him out cold with a crowbar.

Is it over for Spider?

What are Mike and Esther hiding?

3. Summer is in danger

Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) hasn’t been the most honest with the couple and notably lied to them after suffering a miscarriage.

But in upcoming scenes, Summer calls at Mike and Esther’s house and hands them an envelope containing her wages.

Esther (portrayed by former Waterloo Road star Vanessa Hehir) relents and invites Summer in.

She’s touched by their kindness and tells the couple that she’s prepared to talk to their solicitor about surrogacy.

Yet when Summer’s guardian Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) arrives at the house after receiving a call from Esther, she’s shocked to see him.

How will he react to Summer’s decision as she’s forced to talk to him?

But there’s more important trouble for Summer in later scenes of the Manchester-based drama.

While at Mike and Esther’s house, Summer answers the door to the bailiffs who start gathering up the pair’s things.

She’s horrified and when the couple return, she demands to know what is going on.

The three of them later attend a meeting with the surrogacy counsellor.

Meanwhile, Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) keeps an eye out and confides in Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) that he doesn’t believe Mike and Esther are the upstanding Christian couple they pretend to be.

As a result, the undertaker decides to do some digging on them – but what will he find?

Nina Lucas’ lif could hang in the balance this week

4. Nina in drowning horror

Nina Lucas, played by Dancing on Ice star Mollie Gallagher, finds herself in dangerous waters this week.

Sadly, her uncle Roy Cropper (David Neilson) will be unable to do anything.

Coming up, the owner of Roy’s Rolls arranges to meet his niece along with Asha Alahan and Brian Packham for the bat group meeting in the woods.

Roy tells the trio he will drop Evelyn Plummer at a friend’s house before their meeting.

But Brian and Nina receive a message according to which their group meeting was cancelled.

They soon realise they have no way of informing Roy of the change as he doesn’t own a mobile phone due to his strong resistance to modern technology.

Roy arrives believing the meeting to still be going ahead with his thermos in tow.

He later drops the thermos in the river while the trio decide to go look for him.

They soon spot his car and Nina finds his thermos floating in the freezing water.

But when she heads down the bank, she slips, banging her head before landing into the river.

Will she make it?

5. Damon takes control of the Bistro

Jacob Hay (Jack James Ryan) has been getting his act together after spending months involved in the crime world.

Sadly, his father Damon (Ciarán Griffiths) rocking up the cobbles throws him right back to square one.

Coming up, Damon offers his son a full time job at the Bistro on double the money he’s already making at the factory.

The high income is enough to convince Jacob to hand his notice in to Carla Connor (Alison King) who warns him he’s making a mistake.

Little does Jacob know she may be right.

In later scenes, when Nick Tilsley gets involved, Damon tells him he will tell Leanne everything about his deal with Harvey if he injects.

Damon then tells Jacob he needs him to take delivery of a package and the youngster slowly realises he may be back to his old habits.

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV.
