FORMER Coronation Street star Richard Fleeshman has re-launched his music career, eleven years after his last hit.

The 30-year-old has teamed up with Celinde Schoenmaker to create a duo called Makerman and they have released their first single Reason.

The track has already won praise from fans who cant wait to hear their full album, Grove Hill, which will be out on March 1st.

Sharing a clip of the audio with his followers, Richard wrote: Hi guys, just a quick one to say thank you so much for all the lovely support yesterday.

It really meant the world to see friends and strangers alike showing so much love, posting and sending messages about the first song.

Looking forward to you hearing the full thing when its out March 1st.

He is best known for his role in Coronation Street

While most people might remember him as Craig Harris from Corrie, Richard has also been a singer and songwriter for most of his life.

He was the youngest person to win Stars In Their Eyes celebrity special when he was just 13.

In 2007, he signed a major record deal with Universal Records and completed writing his debut album.

Richard looks rather different these days

The following year he supported Elton John on his Summer stadium tour, followed by his Red Piano Tour and then his summer European Tour in June.

Richard who left Coronation Street when he was 16 has also been a musical theatre star.

He has showcased his vocal talents on Legally Blonde, Ghost: The Musical and The Last Ship.
