Helen Flanagan ‘plans sensational return to Coronation Street’ after split from footballer Scott Sinclair

HELEN Flanagan has plans to make a sensational return to Coronation Street after her split from footballer Scott Sinclair, HOAR can reveal.

Born and raised in Manchester, the TV beauty is best known for playing Rosie Webster in the ITV soap.

Helen Flanagan was last seen in Coronation Street in 2018 – and has played the role of Rosie Webster since 2000

The star is planning her return to soap land

She quit Corrie in 2018 when she welcomed her third child with long-term partner Scott.

A source said: “Helen’s talking about plans to return – not this year, but maybe late next year.

“Bosses have made it clear they’d welcome her back and she sees the soap cast as family.

“She misses them, and playing Rosie, a lot.”

Helen, 32, and Scott, 33, most recently lived in Preston and the footballer enjoyed a trophy-laden spell at Celtic.

He has been at 14 clubs throughout his career, with Helen happy to put him and her family before Corrie.

The source added: “What was stopping her before was looking after her kids and Scott’s football career – she never knew where he’d sign next or where they’d live.

“But now she’s single she’s talking a lot about going back to Corrie – she hasn’t had any official meetings yet but it’s something she’s talking about.”

Helen took over the role of Rosie Webster from Emma Collinge who played the character from 1990-1999.

The actress was 10 years old when she joined the popular soap.

Helen left in 2012 to pursue other interests but returned in February 2017, but left again in 2018.

She was recently spotted without her engagement ring on, after HOAR revealed she had broke off the wedding.

Helen – who is mum to Delilah, four, Matilda, seven, and Charlie, one – is said to have split from Scott after her engagement ring broke, seeing it as a “bad omen” for the pair.

“She’s into all things spiritual and had a feeling so she sought guidance from a psychic medium.

“Helen and Scott really tried to work on their relationship but ultimately she saw the ring breaking as a bad omen and one that meant she shouldn’t get married.”

Last week, we told how Helen had been telling pals it was all over, just weeks after she’d finished filming ITV’s ITV’s I’m A Celebrity All Stars in South Africa.

A source said: “Helen has removed her engagement ring and told those close to her that she is no longer with Scott.

“They hit a rough patch in the summer and after she came back from South Africa their relationship ended.

“Helen and Scott are committed to co-parenting their kids, even if they are no longer a couple.”
