HELEN Flanagan has told how I’m A Celebrity crew pushed her off a platform high in the jungle canopy — after she refused to jump by herself.

The former Coronation Street actress, 31, was supposed to zip wire into the Australian camp, but was so terrified of heights she could not force herself off the ledge.

Scenes of her being shoved off were not shown in the ITV show’s footage.

Helen, who played Corrie’s Rosie Webster, admitted: “I’m terrified of heights, and when I entered the jungle it was like Go Ape, but times 100.

“I was terrified. And they never showed this but I had to be pushed.

“I think my nerves had gone before I even arrived. It wasn’t for me.”

Helen, who was speaking on the Never Fully Dressed podcast, added that she had barely watched the hit show, presented by Ant and Dec, before she agreed to be on it.

Instead, she thought she would be able to “blag it”.

She went on: “When I look back — it was an experience. I don’t regret any of it. I loved the social aspects of it, but it was not for me. I really didn’t know what I was letting myself in for. I’d only watched one show.

“I just wanted to do it because I thought it would be really good fun. I thought to myself: ‘I’ll blag it’ and yeah . . .  wow.”

Mum-of-three Helen took part in the 12th series of the show in 2012 and came seventh.
