HOLLYOAKS’ Sylver McQueen was forced to admit to a prison romp after lying to Mercedes McQueen about his secret daughter Cher.
The killer – who is played by actor David Tag in the Channel 4 soap – was shocked when his teenage daughter Cher arrived in the village with a bang.
But with Sylver previously having told Mercedes that she was the only woman he had ever slept with – he pretended that she was a liar.
In fact while Sylver didn’t know he had a daughter, he knew she was telling the truth when she told him about her mum Kelly who works as a dental nurse in prisons.
Desperate to keep his secret, Sylver tried to pay Cher £3,000 to leave the village and keep it quiet that he is her father.
However when Kelly turned up and confirmed Cher’s story, Sylver was forced to admit the truth.
And he decided he wanted to get to know his daughter, telling her: “I’ll take things really slowly and if I haven’t totally messed things up, and you fancy getting to know the real me then I’d love to be a dad to you.
“And make up with all the time we’ve missed out on.”
But Kelly had one last surprise for Sylver and Mercedes – by telling them Cher was their problem now.
She said: “You know I love you in my own way but me and you, the fight we had, we’re never going to get behind what happened, are we? I need a break from you, a permanent break.”
Kelly then revealed she was leaving Cher with them so she could take her other children for a new life in Greece.
Turning to Sylver and Mercedes, Kelly said: “You’ve got your new family now, time for a fresh start for both of us. Here’s her stuff, she’s your problem now.”
