I’M A Celebrity’s Simon Gregson and Adam Woodyatt look totally unrecognisable as baby faced soap newbies.

The actors – who are known for playing Steve McDonald in Coronation Street and Ian Beale in EastEnders – are currently taking part in the 21st series of the ITV show.

I’m A Celeb star Simon Gregson joined Coronation Street in 1989
Adam joined the cast of EastEnders in 1985

But reality TV isn’t what the pair are best known for as they’re arguably two of the biggest soap legends around.

Simon, 47, shot to fame in 1989 aged 15 when he took on the role of Steve in the ITV soap.

32 years ago his alter-ego stepped onto the Cobbles with his mum Liz, dad Jim and twin brother Andy.

Over the years he’s been involved in a number of honest storylines including his battle with depression, losing his son Oliver, and helping his teenage daughter Amy after she found out she was pregnant.

He’s also been a huge hit with the ladies as he’s been linked to the likes of Vicky McDonald, Karen McDonald, Becky McDonald, Tracy McDonald and Michelle Connor.

The cab driver has also fathered four children – Emma Brooker, Amy Barlow, Ruairi McDonald and Oliver Battersby.

Over the years he’s managed to win 17 awards for his portrayal of the co-owner of Street Cars.

Simon is a regular on the show, but in 2015 he took a break from the soap for personal reasons. He returned in 2016.

Meanwhile Adam, 53 – who has had the pleasure of playing EastEnders’ longest-serving character – first appeared on our screens in The Baker Street Boys in 1983.

Two years later he landed the role of the businessman in the BBC soap aged just 17.

Over the years he’s gone from working in a market to owning multiple businesses in Walford.

But it’s not been easy for him as he’s had to come to terms with his daughter Lucy’s death (caused by his son Bobby), killing his ex-wife Sharon Watts’ son Dennis and another that sticks out is his ongoing feud with the Square’s bad boy Phil Mitchell.

Similar to Steve, Ian has had a number of failed relationships including his marriages to Cindy Williams, Mel Healy, Laura Dunn, Jane Clarke, and Sharon Watts.

But last month HOAR exclusively revealed that Adam “will quit” BBC1 show for good after more than 35 years as Ian Beale.

The star hoping that his stint on I’m A Celebrity will launch a whole new chapter in his career.

Over the past few weeks Adam and Simon have been entertaining fans on the popular ITV show.

Fans were eagerly awaiting for the pair to make an appearance after they were late comers on the programme.

When they made their debut they were made Lords of the castle and were treated like royalty, but have no been replaced by footie legend David Ginola and Emmerdale favourite Danny Miller.

Last night viewers spotted when Adam “unleashed his inner Ian Beale” after feud with Naughty Boy in the Bushtucker Trial.

The soap star was joined by David and the music producer in Cells for Hell.

He became frustrated with the artist during the challenge and they only ended up winning four out of 11 stars for camp.
