Sally wasn’t impressed that Geoff had been hiring escorts in Corrie

Is Sally Webster going to expose Geoff’s abuse of Yasmeen in Coronation Street?

Coronation Street viewers have long suspected that Sally will hold the key to exposing Geoff after she appeared to grow suspicious of his “nice guy” act.

And Sally’s turning point came during last night’s episode as she discovered that Geoff was sleeping with escorts right under Yasmeen’s nose ahead of her arrest.

Sally was left in shock and seemed more suspicious of Geoff than ever as she told Tim what she’d discovered.

Viewers were thrilled by her disgust and took to Twitter to predict that Sally – along with the women of Weatherfield – would unravel Geoff’s lies and secure his downfall.

One fan tweeted: “The looks and facial expressions given from Sally, Eileen and Aaliyah in #Corrie are everything.”

Another hopeful fan said: “Go on, Sally. Expose Geoff for the creep he is!”

A third tweeted: “I am SO glad the woman of the street all seem to be onto Geoff. Carla, Eileen, Cathy, Sally, Evelyn… women solidarity.”

Sure enough, official spoilers have revealed that Sally will turn against Geoff next week.

Sally will be horrified when Yasmeen pleads not guilty for the attempted murder charge, and immediately order Tim to kick Geoff out of her house.

But will she speak out against Geoff and help free Yasmeen?

Earlier this week, Sally Dyvenor appeared on This Morning where she revealed her character will become pivotal in the ongoing storyline.

The actress said: “Remember, Sally spent time in prison for something that she didn’t do, so there’s no way she will allow Yasmeen to spend years behind bars for something she didn’t do.”

Geoff’s abuse of Yasmeen has unfolded right under Sally Webster’s nose

What other evidence could Sally Webster put forward to expose Geoff?

Corrie fans know that Sally witnessed a string of suspicious events as Yasmeen’s neighbour over the past year that she could speak out about to expose Geoff as an abuser.

Fans will remember that Sally seemed suspicious of Geoff’s controlling behaviour when she and Tim paid a visit to Yasmeen and Geoff in the wake of his health scare in March, which they didn’t know he’d faked

His fake health scare stopped Yasmeen visiting her relatives and going to her grandson’s wedding in Spain.

Sally seemed suspicious of Geoff and tried to tell Yasmeen something serious about him later, but Tim cut her off with a joke and she never got the chance.

Sally also witnessed Yasmeen looking uncomfortable at the Bistro reopening when she arrived draped in Geoff’s racy dress.

The daughter-in-law then watched the monster burning Yasmeen’s things in the garden after she tried to leave him, and even came outside to berate him for the smell.

She commented that it didn’t smell like twigs and leaves – as he insisted – before heading back in doors.

She then watched from inside her conservatory with a look of suspicion as Yasmeen trudged outside and looked in dismay at her burning things.

At the time fans were shocked that Sally didn’t put two and two together and realise poor Yasmeen was being abused.

One fan said: “Funny how Eileen and Sally are usually the nosey neighbours yet during this, absolutely nothing. Burning clothes would give off a completely different smell to garden waste but again nothing twigs. Strange.”

Another added: “Eileen, Sally and Alya should all team up and prove Yasmeen’s innocence #corrie.”

Will Sally Webster betray Tim in Coronation Street?

Fans will remember that Sally and Tim went through a rough patch recently when she realised he was already married to another woman named Charlie.

They are now planning to remarry later in the year with the aid of Tim’s dad Geoff’s finances.

Might the financial situation end up clouding Sally and Tim’s judgement when it comes to siding with Geoff or Yasmeen?

Speaking on This Morning earlier this week, Sally added that siding with Yasmeen is going to threaten her character’s relationship with Tim.

She said: “This is really going to be affected because he’s on Team Geoff, and I was on Team Geoff but now I found out about what’s going on, I’m going on to Team Yasmeen.”
