FANS of Coronation Street were left shocked by Tracy Barlow’s reaction to discovering her daughter Amy had been raped.
Amy, played by Elle Mulvaney, finally admitted the truth to her mum Tracy (Kate Ford) in heartbreaking scenes on the ITV soap opera.

Tracy’s reaction left viewers of the show utterly puzzled as she appeared to take a different approach than her usual behaviour upon discovering a shocking piece of information.
In a stark contrast to her usual self, Tracy listened on calmly to Amy and established the facts of the situation as opposed to being instantly filled with rage over Aaron Sandford’s (James Craven) actions.
Viewers watched the harrowing scenes earlier this year when after getting extremely drunk together, things took a sinister turn between Amy and Aaron.
After sharing a drunken kiss, Amy informed Aaron that she felt sick and she rolled over on the bed as she appeared to pass out from her intoxicated state.
Waking up the next day, Amy realised Aaron had raped her while she had been unable to consent.
Recalling the ordeal to her mum, Amy said: “He was someone knew, someone I trusted. I never expected to be raped in my own bed by a mate.”
After Tracy told Steve about Amy’s ordeal, Steve was left furious as he wanted to go after Aaron but Tracy informed him that wasn’t for the best.
Tracy agreed with daughter Amy as she said: “She’s right we need to go to the police and let them deal with it.”
Fans were left in awe at Tracy’s behaviour and the fact she did not fly off the handle with Aaron.
