Jake Quickenden makes Hollyoaks debut as topless builder Woody in sizzling scene leaving Kate Garraway drooling on GMB

JAKE Quickenden’s topless Hollyoaks debut left Kate Garraway drooling on Good Morning Britain today.

The Dancing On Ice star made his acting debut on the soap, and Kate couldn’t hide her enthusiasm after a clip aired on Thursday’s GMB.

Jake, 30, joined Kate and Ben Shephard on GMB today as he sat in for showbiz correspondent Richard Arnold.

And Kate, 52, mused: “So you are the showbiz news today, you made your Hollyoaks debut last night.”

A clip then aired showing the I’m A Celebrity winner, who recently starred in stripper stage show Magic Mike, running onto the Hollyoaks set in slow motion, wearing only a hi-vis jacket and helmet.

Kate scoffed: “Never mind Magic Mike! Can I just say, you are building to some sort of stripping role. You have a super slow-mo going on.”

Viewers also fawned over Jake last night as one said on Twitter: “HELLLLOOOO MR Jake Quickenden”

Another viewer wrote: “Do I spot a Jake ”

And one more said: “My night just got a whole lot better @JakeQuickenden you are one fine man”

Jake revealed he playsa builder called Woody and he is “a bit of a rogue”.

He said: “He’s been dragged in by Cindy to start work on a restaurant and he is a bit of a rogue, he’s not really bothered about health and safety.”

Jake watched the episode with his girlfriend, who he now lives with in Essex, and admitted seeing himself in character was “so surreal”.

Touching on how he got the role, he added: “I have done a lot of reality shows but there’s only so much longevity in that. I did a musical last year and Hollyoaks came to watch and then they offered me this role.

“Working on the show you see how much hard work goes into it.
